Silybum marianum to be exact, and so it is my favourite plant too. Also for its medicinal properties, an ancient cure for over-indulgence in good wines.. I was lucky enough to photograph it growing wild by the road side in Turkey last month. Here in England it is too often food for slugs. A beautiful drawing, thank you.
